Macbeth

A Witches' Brew - by James Nealon

Boil boil triple toil

Add a hair of a rat and a claw of a cat

And the sooten lung of a sleeping bat

A crocodile fang scarred by fire

And a plucking string of Grecian Lyre

Just a few jars of armadillo bile

And pixie dust from the Nile

Wormwood bark and scarab shell

Mandrake roots and a hound from hell

Boil Boil Triple Toil

Don’t forget that boomslang skin

Nettle weeds and a dolphin’s fin

Dragon’s snout and toxic toads

Basilisk blood and cow’s lymph nodes

How about a sphinx’s gold Fleece

And just a few gallons of warthog grease

Wolfsbane, moonstone, and spider silk

Mix it up with dead mother’s milk

Raven’s beak and owl’s heart

Elfish limbs and human tart

Stallion hooves and phoenix tears

Ghoulish tongue and vampire ears

Mix it well and mix it right

Until it turns as black as night

Make it scream with leprechaun gold

And voila! Macbeth, your fate will now unfold……
